Shaft, Core & Commutator Pressing

The first stations of an armature line press the shaft into the laminated core, press on the end plates (insulation end caps) and press the commutator to its axial position. Concentricity and axial position set here decide how much stock the commutator turning station has to remove later, and whether the balancing station can stay within tolerance.

Bocadar builds servo-driven pressing machines with position and force monitoring so that every press is logged and out-of-tolerance parts are rejected before they consume winding wire.

Questions

Do the pressing machines log press force for each part?

Yes. The servo presses record a force–displacement curve for every part and compare it against a stored window; the curve can be exported as CSV or passed to an MES.
